Right before Christmas Caitlin mentioned that she had NEVER made a gingerbread house before. I thought this was just a shame so I decided that we had to make a gingerbread house...
First we put the walls together.
Then it was time for the roof. And then decorating the roof.
That is when Chaos erupted. The roof started to slip off the house....
I worked so hard to save it...
Then once I got the roof stabilized again, we lost the wall.
Uh oh!
In the end, Caitlin stuck to it and got the house to stay together. We were sure it wouldn't stay together but Cait said that it did! I guess it turned out to be a success :)

that is awesome!! ours was a total failure too... like no salvaging at all failure. so i'm impressed you guys got yours to work!
Mine failed also! Darn royal icing is just to slippy. We put oranges and apples around and under the roof to keep it together long enough to hold.
This same issue happened with me! I feel your pain.
